I am extremely blessed and thankful to God for the opportunity to serve as His appointed Servant of this flock for 25 years. In the words of the Apostle Paul (1 Timothy 1:11-12)…"And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, in that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry."

 

Reflecting back to when we stood in the presence of God and before this church family on Sunday, November 7, 1991 to acknowledge our acceptance of the invitation to become the pastor of this great church family. We were very excited about the call, but we were also aware of the challenge before us. We came to this congregation with a spirit of humility and with a serious desire to follow the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We came and accepted the challenge, knowing how dependent we would be upon God to be in full control of all our leadership endeavors.

 

To the wonderful members of New Mt. Gilead, Oh, how I pray and thank God for each of you. Because of God's favor, we are celebrating twenty-five years of ministry together as Pastor and members on November 1, 2016

 

Sis. Locke and I are here today by the grace and mercy of God, and by the support, love and cooperation of you the people of God.

 

For every prayer that has been answered; for every soul that has been saved; for every marriage helped; for every body healed; for every bereaved person comforted. For every sermon preached; to God be the Glory. I am hopeful that the web-site will be a blessing to our fellowship
